今回はAIR FORCE 1でも名作の1つである「ESCAPE」についてご紹介いたします!!

◎NIKE "ESCAPE COLLECTION"
AIR FORCE 1を語る前にまず知っておきたいのが1988年に登場した「NIKE ESCAPE COLLECTION」です。
このコレクションはNIKEが「ファッションに特化したスニーカー」をコンセプトに、AIR FORCE III・WIND RUNNER・AIR CROSS TRAINER LOWなどなど、多数のモデルが製作されました。

そして、14年後の2002年には新たに3型のモデルが登場し、日本で爆発的な人気に。

◎AIR FORCE 1 ESCAPE 登場!!
さて、ここまではAIR FORCE 1にたどり着くまでのESCAPEシリーズをご紹介いたしました！
大人気を博した2002年から4年後の2006年1月。遂にAIR FORCE 1が登場します!!
これまで同様、ブラウンカラーをベースにスウッシュはブラック。
サイドパネルにはパンチング加工が施され、シュータンには本モデルを象徴する「ESCAPE」のロゴが入ります。
つい先日、復刻版とされるモデルが登場しましたが「ESCAPE」ロゴが入っておらず完全復刻とは言えない仕様に。

ちなみに同年には2NDモデルとして、1988年のコレクションのAIR FORCE IIIに採用されたカラーを落とし込んだ1足も登場しました。

ブラウンとはまた違った爽やかさもあるカラーが良いですね!!
ちなみにこのカラーは同年AIR FORCE 2でも登場しております。

◎あのモデルの元ネタに?!
ここまで紹介してきたESCAPEシリーズですが、みなさん大好きなあのモデルの元ネタとも言われております!!
それが、TRAVIS SCOTT × AIR JORDAN 1 HIGH OG TS SPです。
並べてみるとこんな感じに。
ブラウンの色味は若干違えど、よく見てみるとたしかにと言える配色ですよね(笑)
シュータンロゴの配色もよく似ています。
公式に言われているわけではないので、あくまで推察ですが、わかる人にはそのように言われております。
TRAVISコラボのモデルと言えばブラウンというようなイメージを植え付けた1足でもありますし、元ネタとして選んだセンスが素晴らしいなと。
やはりスニーカー好きたるもの、元ネタ系は欲しくなりますよね…

そして2014年には全4型のESCAPEシリーズが登場したり、2018年にはSB AIR FORCE 2で登場したりと、このシリーズは脈々と広がりを見せました。
